What Are We Doing?
For the duration of 2007 we have decided that one meal a day will be dictated to us by Rachael Ray, specifically from her book, “365: No Repeats A Year of Deliciously Different Dinners“. We are starting at the beginning of the book and working through to the end, regardless of our tastes, desires, circumstance, etc. We will be as true to the task as we can, no matter where we are and what we are doing. If for some reason one of us is unable to cook we have an appointed stand-in guest cook standing by.
Our own food prejudices, to be largely ignored for the year include an enormous aversion to cilantro/ coriander shared by the adults of the house (Baby A, who knows? We’ve certainly never fed it to her), a dislike of eggs for H and an allergy to them for L (Baby A loves her omelettes), and various mild dislikes of broccolli (L) and cauliflower (H). However, we will eat whatever Rachael says we should have.
