Today was the day that the macaroni cheese recipe featured cauliflower, smoked gouda and flaked almonds. It was also the day that our dinner last night of mainly, ahem, beer, resulted in a hangover which pushed all thoughts of food to the back of our heads. Cheesy food that is; we had a fantastic bacon sarnie earlier today. Salty and delicious, mmm, hangover heaven. Nevertheless, L cooked, ate and enjoyed the dinner, proclaiming it tasty, although still somewhat institutional in smell and taste. I had a small bit of the pasta with frozen peas. Whilst committed to this project, my stomach did protest too much at even the thought of cauliflower. Baby A, however, really really liked it, which is a great success.
Tomorrow, the mac-n-cheese rides again, although this time completely transformed with the addition of ground beef and red pepper. Can’t wait, no really.
