Finally, a good meal, a really really good meal! The Turkey Noodle Casserole [recipe] needs to be renamed. Currently, the name to me conjures an unappetising image of cream of mushroom soup with lumps of white meat floating in it, mixed with some soggy pasta. In reality, this dish was made with bacon and wine and cream and vegetables and gruyere cheese. It’s tasty and full of flavour and we will undoubtedly make it again, presumably some time in 2008. This was the sort of food we were hoping for when we started this venture. Quick, easy, tasty, good. Although certainly not a low-fat meal, this didn’t have the solid stodge factor of some of the other dishes we’ve had recently. We did serve it on a bed of spinach to up the vegetable quota a little, but overall this was a winner.
